From Thirst to Thriving: Transforming Lives in South Kolkata’s Forgotten Corners

Passionate For You Foundation is a charitable trust that is currently working among underprivileged communities in South Kolkata and southwestern West Bengal, focusing on remote areas in Santoshpur station, Majherhat, and Jejur.

  • Our mission is to provide needy children with equal opportunities to develop holistically and become fulfilled and responsible citizens of the nation.

  • The organization was founded in 2019 in response to the urgent needs evident at Santoshpur station (Sholo Bigha). In 2019, after conducting a survey and observing the demands, we identified the fundamental need for water in the slum area. The slum lacked a single source of water, and since all parents worked daily jobs, female children had to cross the railway tracks to fetch water from outside, resulting in numerous train accidents, injuries, and even fatalities. We decided to provide water to those in need and installed a Community Bio-Sand Project within the slum area, ensuring everyone has access to drinking water.

  • Following the water project, we launched additional initiatives in response to demands, including education, feeding, school enrollment, women’s literacy, child rights, health camps, and counseling. Our Promises To Children

  • Passionate For You Foundation promises to improve the lives of the most vulnerable children and strengthen communities so that children can reach their full potential. We ensure that

Children are fed

We believe no child should face the day on an empty stomach. Through this program, we provide daily nutritious meals to children in need, helping improve their physical health, concentration in school, and overall well-being. A well-fed child is a step closer to a hopeful future.

Children are educated

Education is a powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty. This program ensures children have access to quality education, school supplies, tuition assistance, and supportive learning environments. We invest in young minds so they can dream bigger and achieve more.

Children are made aware of their basic rights

Every child has the right to safety, education, and dignity—but not every child knows that. This initiative raises awareness among children about their fundamental rights through interactive workshops, storytelling, and school-based campaigns, empowering them to stand up for themselves and others.

Children and women are valued, cared for, and feel loved in the community

This holistic program builds a nurturing and respectful environment for women and children within the community. Through counseling, emotional support, awareness drives, and healthcare access, we work to create a society where every woman and child feels protected, heard, and cherished.
